What file/image format can I upload?

To ensure your stickers and labels print with the highest possible quality, we recommend following these file guidelines when uploading your images to our Sticker Maker.

Accepted File Formats

We accept the following standard image formats:

  • - PNG (Recommended for transparent backgrounds)
  • - JPEG / JPG
  • - GIF
  • - PDF (Recommended for custom die-cut lines)

Best Practices for Print Quality

1. Resolution (DPI)

For sharp, clear images, your file should be at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the desired print size.

  • Why? Images from the web are often 72 DPI. While they look fine on a screen, they may appear pixelated or blurry when printed.

  • Tip: When resizing an image, avoid scaling a small, low-resolution image up. It is always better to scale a high-resolution image down.

2. Color Mode (CMYK vs. RGB)

We print using a CMYK process.

  • Recommendation: Upload your files in CMYK color mode.

  • Note: Computer screens display in RGB. If you upload an RGB file, we will automatically convert it to CMYK for printing. This may result in slight color shifts, particularly with bright neon or fluorescent colors, which can appear more muted in print.

File Size Limits

  • Maximum File Size: 25 MB

  • Need to upload a larger file? If your file is more than 25 MB and cannot be compressed, please contact our team via our Live Chat. Our design team can assist with handling larger files or alternative formats (such as AI or EPS).

Pro Tip: Using PDFs for Custom Die-Cuts

Our system will create an automatic die-cut for your stickers. However, if you require a specific, custom cut line around your design, a PDF is the best format to use.

  • Ensure your PDF is a single page.

  • The die-cut line should be a vector path (stroke) in a contrasting spot color.
